Congress Heights Arts and Culture Center – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
CHACC invites guest to help them kick off their month-long celebration of Lois Mailou Jones. Visitors are asked to bring non-perishable goods to the center this month. For more information, click here.

Friday, November 13

Vivid Solutions Gallery – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
La Vie en Rose is the first part of the digital installation series PINK: The Art of Infatuation and Embellishment by Carolina Mayorga. This video installation is based on reactions to war and violence. For more information, click here.

Honfleur Gallery – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In Icons: Las Virgencitas, artist Dariana Arias depicts women around the world as the Virgin Mary. This twelve painting series uses both historical and contemporary imagery to represent societal expectations. For more details, click here.

Saturday, November 14

White Room – 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Join White Room for the inauguration of their space with a solo exhibition featuring the work of Tehreema Mitha. Mitha’s work uses bold colors and negative space to celebrate her heritage. For more details, click here.

WPA – 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
WPA celebrates their 40-year anniversary and their move to the U Street Corridor withWashington Produced Artists. This exhibition will feature William Christenberry, Jim Sanborn, Joyce J. Scott and Dan Steinhilber, Workingman Collective, Michelle Lisa Herman, Maida Withers Dance Construction Company. For details, click here.

The Fridge – 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The Fridge presents Washington based artist DECOY in Sew Rad. The exhibition will showcase three quilts and a series of new barn quilt blocks. For more information, click here.
