Far East Taco Grille (409 15th Street) is taking over the vacant space at 635 Florida Avenue that was most recently home to Chinito's Burritos. You can check out their current menu, which features a variety of tacos, burritos, salads, quesadillas, and fries with an Asian inspired twist. They're aiming for a March opening. This will be an expansion from their current location on 15th Street, which will remain open. They also have a food truck. Thanks to reader Vaughn Sterling for the heads up.

Love them. So happy they will still be a neighbor on 15th Street.
This place is AMAZING! I am also soooo happy we'll still be able to run down the road to get grub at 15th instead of hiking over to Florida Ave - although they're so good, I'd still do it!!
I hope the burritos are more affordable then it's predecesor's were.
$20 for a burrito seemed awfully high
Pat,
What were you ordering in your burrito that it came to $20? I remember they did offer the Gomez, which was a massive burrito (~5 lbs) filled with everything on the menu. That was about $20, but I recall it was sort of an eating challenge named after a Gallaudet student. Eat it in 15 minutes or less and it was free. I believe I did write about it somewhere (maybe the Hill Rag?), but here's a link to a Roll Call piece that talks about it.
Last burrito I had there cost $4000
I live near the 15th Street NE location. Far East Taco Grille and Shawafel are our two favorite places for take-out food when we don't feel like cooking. The Burrittos and Quesadillas are all less than $10 for large and delicious portions!
they needs lasers
