Non-Fatal Shooting at 17th & Lyman

Detectives from MPD's Fifth District are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred very early this morning in the 1700 block of Lyman Place in Carver-Langston. According to an email sent out by an MPD representative, the shooting happened around 1am. The alert put the time at 1:43am. The victim was shot once and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The Fifth District is investigating a shooting that occurred on February 29, 2016, at about 0100 hours. The victim was shot once and is being treated at an area hospital for non- life threatening injuries. Anyone with information should call the Fifth District Detectives Office at 202-698-0660.

MPD has made an arrest in the case of gun violence on the 1700 block of Lyman Place. From MPD, "...pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court Arrest Warrant 36-year-old Lamont Smith of Northeast, DC was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun)."
