News in Brief: Artists to Arts Hotel, the Pug Takes Cards Again

DSC_0042
W.S. Jenks gears up for summer

The Kojo Nnamdi Show covered the new arts hotel coming to 411 New York Avenue in two segments yesterday, and you should listen to both (they are short). Segment 1 (14:35) introduces you to the developers behind the project, and segment 2 (10:33) asks whether a project like this is the answer to the District's artist displacement problem.

W.S. Jenks (910 Bladensburg Road) has shifted to summer hours. Saturday 9am-5pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm, Monday - Friday 7:30am-7pm.

Dangerously Delicious Pies (1339 H Street) is partnering with DC Diaper Bank, so you can now drop off new diapers, wipes, and formula at the pie shop.

District Vape (646 H Street) has closed its H Street store and moved to Maryland. PoPville has pictures. A note left in the window indicated the closing was due to the expiration of their lease (development plans are in the works for that block).

The Pug (1234 H Street) will now once again accept credit cards, after a stint as a cash only joint.
