Fare Well to Open June 22nd

Long awaited vegan restaurant Fare Well (406 H Street) opens June 22nd. Fare Well comes to us from Sticky Fingers creator, and Trinidad neighborhood resident, Doron Petersan. Petersan twice won the Food Network's Cupcake Wars. Her new venture is a 46 seat eatery serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a diner-inspired setting. Aside from restaurant dining, Fare Well will also offer a bakery case of scones, croissants, quiche, and artisan breads customers can purchase and enjoy at home. You also be able to pick up grab and go breakfast and lunch options. Plus, they'll have a full bar and a barista serviced coffee bar. Fare Well will be open for three meals a day Wednesday through Sunday, with expanded bar hours Fridays and Saturdays.

The menu is a mix of classic comfort foods and Mediterranean fare. They'll serve all day breakfasts (think French toast casserole, polenta biscuit sliders, Greek omelets and chilaquiles verde), and offer lunch options like calzone and a rotating sandwich menu. At dinner you can enjoy their fresh made pastas, or selections like pierogis, moussaka, or a mushroom-chickpea burger. They'll also have a small plates menu with items great for sharing.

At the bar you'll be able to order classic and original cocktails like the Buffala Negra (Four Roses Yellow bourbon with basil, balsamic vinegar and ginger syrup), one of four wines or four beers they'll offer on draft, or seasonal boozy milkshakes.

really really happy this place is opening. but, just because it's vegan, doesn't mean it's healthy. i hardly see a light or healthy thing on this menu.

Tried using google to no avail... can someone help me with the acronyms in their menu? NF? SF? WFO? WF?

I'm not sure about WFO, but here's how I read the others:
NF -Nut Free
SF -Soy Free
WF -Wheat Free

WFO would be Wheat Free Option Available. That is how it is used in the Sticky Fingers menu.

Cashew and almond burrata is a contradiction in terms. It may be yummy as all hell, but it ain't burrata.

I look forward to trying the moussaka.
