Metro Mutts (508 H Street) is holding a Yappy Hour at Bardo (1200 Bladensburg Road) tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring your furry friend for some outdoor fun and beer specials.

In other news, the streetcar announced that June was its busiest month yet with 69,497 passengers climbing aboard for a ride. That's an average of 2,625 riders per workday, and 2,931 riders each Saturday. I expect Sunday will be a busy day too once they move to seven day a week service. The average east west trip apparently takes 20 minutes, and the average headway is 14 minutes. Past ridership numbers are online for easy comparison.

Atlas Brew Works (2052 West Virginia Avenue, Suite 102) is holding a tap room release of their summer beer series Friday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Full line-up below:

Rye, Rye My Darling (4.9%)...Rye malt in a saison style

Should I Stay or Should I Gose (4.4%)...Tart German-style gose with a hint of Himalayan sea salt

Dance of Days (5.7%)...American-style hoppy wheat

How do they know how many people are riding it with no fares being collected?

Every now and then they have someone on board clicking off the boardings...

Do it statistically and it's a valid number.

From Streetcar.com:
Ridership numbers are collected via automatic passenger counters installed on board vehicles and verified by periodic manual checks. Ridership numbers are submitted monthly to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and are considered preliminary. Numbers are subject to change.
