Jessica Sidman over at the Washingtonian reports on the fact that local distillery Jos. A. Magnus & Co. (2052 West Virginia Ave.) is selling a special limited-release bourbon priced at $1,000 a bottle. It sounds like people are buying. The author says in the Jan. 13 article that the distillery had already sold 125 of the 192 bottles they released.

The Pug (1234 H St.) will host a fundraiser Thursday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the fight against ALS.

Need to let off a little steam on Inauguration Day? The Argonaut Run Club has you covered with three specially named routes for the day. There's the Bad Hombre 5k, the Nasty Woman 7 Miler, and the Don's Johns Deuce. This one is earlier than their normal evening time. Meet up with your fellow runners at noon at Liberty Tree (1016 H St.) for the run, and join them for drinks and lunch after you finish.
