Local Briefing: Tour Hidden Union Station, Rosedale Pool Hours & DC Harvest Options

Take a Tour of Hidden Union Station

Go behind the scenes at this local transit hub with the Atlas Obscura Society DCNational Trust for Historic Preservation and Union Station Redevelopment Corporation as you venture into areas normally off limits to the public. Tickets for the hour and a half tour are $25, and there's a limited number of them. It sounds like an awesome way to spend a weekend morning. Sunday, July 16th 10–11:30 am.

Rosedale Pool Open Six Days a Week for the Summer

Starting today the pool at the Rosedale Community Center (1701 Gales Street NE) will be open every day of the week except Wednesday. The summer hours are below:

Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri: 11 am to 8 pm
Sat & Sun: 12–6 pm
Lap Swim: Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri: 8–9:30 am

A Little Something Different at DC Harvest

DC Harvest
 (517 H Street NE) recent began to offer something new via the website Tock, which promises "unique experiences at restaurants across the globe." You can book a pre-paid reservation for a Chef's Brunch table where "Chef/Owner Arthur Ringel will wait on your party and offer insights into [the restaurant's] local sourcing practices, [their] recipes and the passion he had to create DC Harvest."

You can also select the Cocktail Enlightenment for 2, an appetizer and drink package in which the "bartender will guide you thru the recipes, inspirations & full processes that went into your cocktail."

Union Station tour tickets sold out. :( There's a waitlist.

The hours on the link you provided differ from the ones you've listed. On the website, pool hours are listed as:

Hours of Operation:
Mon - Fri: 10 am - 9 pm
Sat: 9 am - 5 pm
Closed Sun
