Mark your calendars now for the Trinidad neighborhood's Art in the Alley on Saturday, September 30th. Art in the Alley is a terrific way for local artists (professional and amateur) to showcase their work, and a fun chance for neighbors to get out and enjoy the art in an informal and friendly setting. Art in the alley takes place in the alley immediately north of the 1200 and 1300 blocks of Florida Avenue NE (just south of Morse Street). The event is free and open to all. They is no fee to submit or display works.

They don't have the artist submission form posted yet for this year, but the eligibility guidelines and logistics from last year are below. I'll update as more information becomes available.

Eligibility:

Logistics:
All artwork must be installed at venue between 3 and 5pm the day of the event and removed between 10 and 11pm the same day.

Art is displayed along alley walls and fences.  Limited additional display panels are available.

No limit to the number of pieces or size of artwork.

Artists are welcomed to create artwork during the event.

Performance artist slots are very limited. Those invited to participate will be assigned a specific time slot between 6pm and 9:30pm.
