16 Year Old Boy Fatally Stabbed Yesterday Near NoMa Metro, & Police Make Arrests in Two Other Incidents

Screen Shot 2018-05-02 at 7.10.00 AM

A 16 year old old boy was fatally stabbed yesterday a little before 4:35pm in the 1300 block of 2nd Street NE in NoMa. The victim, whose name has not been released, was a student at KIPP DC College Preparatory (1405 Brentwood Parkway NE). A Fox5 story mentions a witness who described seeing the victim being physically assaulted just prior to the stabbing. The teen was stabbed in the chest. Witnesses told police that there appeared to be a gathering of teens who scattered after the stabbing. Police said they are reviewing surveillance video of the area.

In a separate incident, police have a suspect in custody following a stabbing in the 1600 block of Isherwood Street NE at about 4pm. A second alert went out for this one about an hour after the first alert. The second contained the following text "Classification Change to Simple Assault- DV CCN#18-069-509,"

There's also an update on Monday's double shooting. MPD identified a man arrested in connection with the double shooting that resulted in injuries to an adult male and a small child (3-4 years of age) a little after 6pm on Monday in the 1600 block of Bladensburg Road NE (the location in the original post was 18th & M Street NE). 23 year old Kenneth Warren Morris III of Capitol Heights, MD has been charged with Assault with Intent to Kill (Gun). I am assuming he was the individual located in the SUV in the parking lot of Eddie's Carryout soon after the shooting. Police recovered a gun from that SUV. Police originally indicated they were looking for four men believed to be involved in the shooting. The press release says the incident is still under investigation, and anyone with information should call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. You can do so anonymously if you don't wish to give your name. MPD offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a shooting committed in the District of Columbia.

So one life lost and one life in prison the count is minus 2. When will the number of black youth in America be down to single digits? 2020??

Some group of school kids ruined two families and maybe more...

Even if the judge goes light, this could be 8-12, and some of it's in Adult Jail.
