Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5D, which includes Carver-Langston, Ivy City, the Union Market area, and Trinidad, will hold its monthly meeting tonight at 7pm. The meeting will take place at 371 Morse St NE (behind the Trader Joe's). The new meeting location is conveniently located within walking distance of the NoMa metro station, but one major downside that I've heard from many people is that cell phone reception is pretty lousy in the space. This makes it very hard for the kind folks who have traditionally live tweeted the meetings (some of them now just send tweets after the meeting concludes). If you want to read tweets about the meeting you can follow the hashtag #ANC5D on Twitter. Edward Milton, who would generally film the meetings, recently moved to California so we've lost that too. If anyone out there is interested in making and sharing video or audio recordings of the meetings, that would be a terrific public service not only to those who cannot attend, but to everyone who wants to review exactly what was said at any given meeting. There's an agenda out, but it's basically just their template agenda without the specific items to be discussed tonight.

What: The monthly meeting of Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5D
Where: The meeting room at 371 Morse Street NE
When: Tonight (July 10th) at 7pm
Why: Civic engagement is great. This is a chance to learn about what's happening in our neighborhood, as well as to share any concerns you may have about issues in our community.

Is there any way of getting more advance notice of these meetings? I would be very interested in attending, but same-day notice is not enough. I am on NextDoor, and did not see this meeting posted there either.

Thanks! Are they always held at the same location?
