Supreme Core Cider (2400 T St. NE), which opened near the Arboreturm this past spring, is teaming up with Ivy City Smokehouse (1356 Okie St. NE) for a clambake to mark the end of summer. The menu will include a wide variety of seafood steamed in Supreme Core’s Ivy City Goldrush Cider (itself a collaboration with One Eight Distilling, 1135 Okie St. NE). More than 10 of Supreme Core's ciders will be available on-tap, and the band Buddhagraph Spaceship (Asheville, NC). The "End of Summer Clambake" will take place this Saturday, Sept. 22 from 4–8pm in Supreme Core's taproom. Tickets are $25, which gets you admission, music, food and a mixed four-pack of Supreme Core Cider to take away.

More details on the menu:

"A serving at the event will include Wild Topneck Clams from Rhode Island, PEI Mussels and Wild Gulf Shrimp, all steamed over Supreme Core Barrel-Aged Ivy City Goldrush Cider and served over a bed of steamed potatoes and corn with butter, lemon and seasoning." That all sounds like it might pair just about perfectly with one or more of the ciders on tap.
