ANC Commissioner's Car Set On Fire

Ward 5 ANC Commissioner (and candidate for the Ward 5 Council seat currently held by Vincent Orange) Kathy Henderson's car was set ablaze outside her house early Friday morning. Henderson's outspokeness has has landed her harm's way before (this is the second time her car has been set on fire & it has previously been vandalized in other ways). A spokesman for the Fire Department asks that anyone with information about the incident call 1-866-91-ARSON.

That's insane. Really sorry to hear that. My neighbor had his tires slashed after telling local thugs to hang out elsewhere. He's since installed a 3-camera system that records to a digital recorder and he can review what's happened during the day or night.

I think that it's absolutely absurd. The police should get out of their cars and actually patrol the neighborhoods.

I agree. I live right down the street from Ms. Henderson and get to see the lookouts/drug dealers every morning. I have seen more than a few police cars since it has become warmer out, but they just drive by. If they walked by, they would make more of a presence because the dealers wouldn't see them until they came around the corner. Just my two cents
