Smoke Alarm Verification and Utilization (SAVU)

On August 18th DC Fire, EMS employees, & volunteers will install and inspect smoke alarms in the Trinidad community. Join the SAVU team for an informational meeting tonight (Wednesday August 16th) at the Trinidad Baptist Church (1611 Benning Road NE). The meeting begins at 6:30pm.

    The Savu Islands include Rai Hawu, Rai Jua and Rai Dana. The three islands are fringed by coral reef and sandy beaches. Rai Dana is a small, uninhabited island, situated thirty kilometres south-west of Rai Jua. From April to October, deep ocean swells pound the south facing coastlines.
