How much time to DC Foodies spend in DC? New York Ave is apparently the closest metro to H ST. Jesus Christ, look at Google maps. And its "Capitol Hill" not "Capital Hill"
We really need to do a better job of getting the word out about the H Street Shuttle. How easy can we make it? Free ride from Gallery Place Metro to H Street and back.
Then we have to start actually riding the buses - and complaining to Metrobus. Until they clean up their act, especially on the X2. If enough of us do that, they'll have to improve.
I ride buses all the time and find them much more convenient than the Metro from where I live to the places I usually go downtown. Yes, I've been on the D6 when an ugly fight broke out, but that was once. Mostly the bus is great, although they could stay closer to an actual schedule. But with Metro breaking down just about every day recently, I'm sticking with the bus.
Guys, please be polite. Remember that these people are your neighbors. I ask also that anonymous users leave some kind of tag [e.g. big green cat] for the sake of being able to follow a thread. Be respectful and have fun.

This place is not going to hurt due to lack of a metro.
ReplyDeleteThe Metro doesn't go to Georgetown either, but the media never complains about that, do they?
