A look at what's going on in Trinidad, on H Street, and in the larger area north of Capitol Hill.
I never went last year. Mea culpa. My Spring resolution this year is to check it out. It's a bit of a catch-22. I'm not inclined to shop on H street until it is more like Eastern Market/Barracks Row, but H street won't thrive like those areas unless and until locals start shopping there.
The farmer's market on H is nothng like that crap they sell over at Eastern market. It all is local and all organic. Wait till you taste it. It will ruin your ability to enjoy supermarket (or eastern market) fruits and vegetables. I have missed it all winter.
While the H Street Market is producer only (unlike Eastern Market), it is not all organic. Cedarbrook farm (David & Sheila) is organic.
