Palace of Wonders (1210 H Street) now looks even more like a circus tent. Here are a few close-ups up the newly panels. They add a little interest, no?
If you haven't been to Palace of Wonders yet, you could wing by tonight for a quick covercharge free beer, or you could go either Friday, or Saturday for the full Grand Opening show.

Are they going to do anything with the protruding black sign? Possibly neon lights?

I heard that they still awaiting the "offcial" sign to come in. Appearantly its suppose to be big and probably neon.
Speaking of signs and such, I noticed they have torn down the old gnarled apron around the marquis at the Atlas. I know that they were not going to work on this until the heavy lifting inside was done. They must be getting close...
Great Post article in Style today on the Palace. It really looks like the Grand Opening will be quite something...
I talked to Gitnit (sp?) at the Palace of Wonders and he said that the black sign is going to be an arrow with neon pointing down and into the bar....cool.
