Man, 72, Stabbed in 1500 Blk of Isherwood

ABC News 7 reports on the stabbing of a disabled elderly man in his home yesterday. Police had not yet identified a motive in the killing, but noted that the house had been ransacked. James Germany was the father of five children, at least one of whom was a teenager who returned home from cheerleading practice to the sight of police cars already on the scene. His wife discoved his body on the floor near his bed. He had been stabbed multiple times. Apparently Mr. Germany, who had trouble walking, was in the habit of leaving the front door to his apartment building slightly ajar. This is located in the Rosedale neighborhood, just south of Benning Road.
