Desperados Pizza is Now Slice of Life
Another name change for the pizza place coming to 14th and H Street (the former Sun and Moon building). It was Angelico's, then it was Desperados, and now it's Slice of Life. I like the new name, and I think this one's going to stick. I'm told they will open in late October.

Why don't they just call it, oh, I don't know ... Angelico's?
I'm as confused as Mary. Why did they decide not to go with a name that actually had some brand recognition in the local area?
Because it's a different concept than Angelico's, and they didn't want to confuse people.
I drive by the corner of 14th and H every day and it doesn't appear any of the buildings there are ready to host a restaurant much less by next month. Which building will they be occupying and is the build out truly as far along as this post makes us believe?
Man, I must be alone here in hating that new name. Desperados was such a cool name and theme. I checked out the other Desperado's pics on their website and it such a cool homage to old western bad ass cowboy movies. Slice of life? I feel like that could be the next hit tv show on Nickelodeon Jr.

It's a different concept than Angelico's? Aw. I really like Angelico's and was really looking forward to there being one nearby. I'm sure this other concept will be cool in its different way and I'll be very happy with it; but I was pumped about Angelico's focaccia sandwiches being nearby finally.

why cant they just call it joe's, or tony's, or just some someone's name or last name followed by the word "pizza". and as far a concept, i dont know, have a counter with a cash register where i ask for pizza and they give it to me and i pay them money that they put into the cash register or maybe swipe a credit card.
has anybody been to chef douches new place on penn ave? is it any good
as if today we changed the name as "Home Slice"
