Got (Halloween) Plans?

Remember when I mentioned before about the serious shortage of cabs on Halloween? Yeah, it sucks! But neighborhood residents can avoid the issue by staying local on Halloween. Check out the events below and you won't even be tempted to hit that party in Columbia Heights or Petworth.

Count on other H Street spots to be very costume friendly, and probably have on scary movies. Plus, the Atlas and Joy of Motion are planning an even larger version of last year's popular Thriller dance event. Seriously, the only reason to leave H Street is to go to Jimmy V's, and the Capital City Diner (24 hours on weekends).

Sounds like fun, as long as Joe Englert and his staff don't kill me if I break a glass.

Hi Inked, do you know of any neighborhood bars that won't be charging cover? I have a group depending on me to organize us and I'd like to go out on H but not just one place all night. Since we'll be on the move we'll avoid places with large cover (more than $10).

Thanks for advice!

Sarah,
The Argo, the Pug, Sticky Rice, Toyland. Probably also Beirgarten Haus and the Star and Shamrock.
