2 Great Fundraisers for Local Kids: Alchemy of Great Taste & Bright Beginnings 5K

I've got news up two upcoming events to raise money to help local kids (both of these actual events are outside my usual coverage zone, but I making an exception because I feel they impact some families that live around here. One, Alchemy of Great tastes raises money to benefit students at Tyler Elementary on Capitol Hill. The other, the Bright Beginnings 5K helps out an organization working out of of the Perry School in NoMa (1st and M NW). Bright Beginnings serves homeless infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Enjoy a great evening out of food, drink, live music and a silent auction at the Alchemy of Great Taste taking place Saturday, March 14th from 7-11pm at Eastern Market's North Hall. Sample delicious bites (paired with beers and wines) from area restaurants during this casual evening for adults (21 and over). Enjoy a fun-filled evening while supporting Capitol Hill’s Tyler Elementary School students. Go to and secure your ticket now for just $50. Act now and save money. If available, tickets are $65 at the door.
