A look at what's going on in Trinidad, on H Street, and in the larger area north of Capitol Hill.

Family Liquor
8th & H Streets. This is a morning shot, but 6 afternoons and evenings a week the sidewalk in front of Family Liquor is clogged with patrons who congregate out front with their beverages.
This particular stretch of H is not my favorite. From the Bank of America on down to Family Liquor is just a mess. People pass out on the street and there is always a crowd (I'm not talking about the people waiting for the bus) just hanging out and hastling passersby. All around the neighborhood people hang out on corners, and sometimes people who hang on corners are just hanging out (i.e. not bothering anyone) other times the guys hanging out block the sidewalk and harass pedestrians. I think the gatherings outside Family Liquor are more the second type.

It's been this way for a number of years, although it does seem like there is a concerted effort to 'push' this type of gathering off of H St.
