Last Boarded-Up House on the Block

P1010108
Almost every block has/had one. This is the last one on the double 1200-1400 block of Florida Avenue. I snapped this shot because the recent removal of weeds & other changes make me suspect that the place has either sold, or is being put on the market.

I can confirm that it has been sold. They had some guys working on the roof last week. I met the new owners a week or two ago. They said that they are planning to fix it up and live there. I think that they went to settlement on the 17th of last month.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'm sure the next door neighbors must thrilled. And this is a bit of a milestone for that double block of Florida. But we still have that pesty building on the corner of 12th & K (this is just where Florida & K meet, but this building is officially on K Street). I'm talking about that big white thing located next to where they are supposed to be building the Negro League Baseball Museum. I have heard this building is owned by the museum guys, but they don't seem too eager to do anything with either of their lots.
