I was so pleased to see a photo of Blair Shelter. I attended school at Blair Elementary in 1952 to 1954. I have many pleasant memories. I am so happy they kept the building and used it for something worthwhile.
This is Richard again. I failed to tell you that we lived at 1120 H St. N.E., over a liquor store and chinese restaurant. My grandmother lived at 1114 H St. NE, over a bakery. In the early 50's, I lived at 813 H St. NE., over a shoe store. I remember a big clock outside our window. This house was burnt down during the MLK riots. By the way, I now live in Austin, Tx. I was born and raised in Washington.
