Hey, didn't any of you go to the Argonaut last night? We stopped by and it was pretty cool. The crowd was wonderful and diverse, young/old, black/white, funky/buttoned down, etc. I had the catfish sandwich and sweet potato fries and it was delicious. I'll definitely go back. Hey, don't you think we ought to talk them into a Frozentropics happy hour one night?
I checked in at the Argonaut last week. I didn't try the food, but i was impressed by the decor &, thought the on tap beer selections were slim, the prices for tap beers were extremely low. I really liked the place. It was definitely not too divey.
I stopped into the Argonaut with a group of friends on Friday night fully expecting to find things less-than-hopping on its second night being open to the public. To my very pleasant surprise, it was packed. The crowd was very mixed-- old, young, black, white. Unlike Phish Tea in its early days, the staff seemed ready to handle a full house.
This is definitely a dive, but one with class. If you like dives, you'll love this place as I did. The service was very good, the atmosphere warm and lively and the beer cheap.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they don't have a veggie burger.
