Shooting on H

Evidently there was a road rage fueled shooting on H Street yesterday. I don't know exactly what time the shooting occurred, but I think it must have been between 2 and 2:30 as the entire 1100 block was blocked off when an X-2 I was on reached that point.

From this morning's Post Metro section:

Possible Road Rage A 40-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded yesterday while driving in Northeast Washington, in what police are investigating as a road rage case.

Police found the Northwest man, who was struck in the pelvis, neck and shoulder, inside his car at a traffic light at H and 11th streets just before 3 p.m., officials said. Witnesses told police that the victim and another driver had been exchanging words while traveling west on H Street. The man was hospitalized in serious condition, officials said.

Police believe that the shooter might have been driving a Dodge Magnum with temporary Virginia tags. That vehicle fled north on 11th Street after the shooting, police said.

If the police were more visible on H street, these fools wouldn't be so bold. The shooter assumed that he could get away with it and he did.
