Showbar
This photo of 1210 is from last week & it only contains the test colors. They now have more paint up on this place, but you can see the red and yellow colors in this shot. 1210 is going to house Showbar, a circus themed tavern. Showbar will feature a small circus museum that will be open to school tour groups during the day. At night, Showbar will offer live entertainment with (of course) a circus theme. You may remember Showbar as being the root (this was all based on a misunderstanding) of a rumor (not true) that it was to be a strip club.

Is there a projected opening date for the Showbar or The Red and The Black?
Joe Englert is my hero.
I haven't heard anything firm.
There is a place on the opposite side of H St. between 13th and 14th that has a liquor license permit in the window. It is down past the dance studio. Does anyone know what this is about?
If you are referring to the former funeral home (now painted blue) that is the future site of the Roll n' Roll Hotel (a tavern, not a hotel). The Rock n' Roll Hotel will feature 12 rooms (I think they are each supposed to be decorated by a diffrent artist) & Middle Eastern cuisine.
Who will be running that?
