This is one of those buildings that makes you want to look right past it because it just exudedes 'blight'. When you actually stop and look at it though, you realize that it has a lot of potential. Look also at the building on the East side of 14th that runs a carry out out of the first floor. I think the owners of the carry out live in the back of the building and fixed it up quite nicely about 3-4 years ago.
I really like this building. I think that Richard pointed out that it is one of the older buildings on H Street & still has tons of potential. I hope one day that the upstairs floors will be put to use. Maybe it won't be long. The top two floors of the Blasck Super Market on Florida Ave had been boarded up for more than a decade & the owner recently replaced the windows & started renovating the apartments.
