Website for Trinidad

Hey, someone is trying to set up a website for Trinidad. He's soliciting comments for content. What do people think? Feel free to leave feedback/ideas as comments here.

I would be interested in the history and recent development projects.

I'd be very interested to read more about Trinidad. It's amazing how much history is hidden behind/beneath all that brick!

As someone who's moving to Trinidad in a few weeks I'd love a website that highlights upcoming events and news about the neighborhood.

That brings up an interesting point. I noted the other night how tough it is to keep a site like HStreetDC.com up to date. And there's also the point that we have this great blog and the TrinidadDC Yahoo group/listserv. So is it better to have dynamic content remain in these other forums and have more static, durable info on the web site? I would go for that at least in the beginning.
Another question is with sites like Flickr.com out there, does it make sense to host a lot of photos on the web site as well or maybe link to 'albums' on sites like Flickr? Maybe a smaller collection of people's favorite Trinidad pics on the actual web site?

I think the most useful things would be times & locations for community meetings, a psa map, a map the ANC SMDs, a street map of Trinidad, links to community groups, links to district services (.gov sites), contact info for ANC Commissioners. It would also be good to have some kind of community bulletin board. I think that would be a good start & other things could go up later.

Agreed. It would be interesting to see what the folks on my block said they'd like to have.
Trinidad's small enough that you could even have a section for each block or each street allowing people who wanted to build community to do it. Many things. But the start small/attainable, gather comments/feedback, add more later approach sounds good.
