3 of a kind

The only three I've seen even remotely like this. On Montello Ave.

I don't know. The materials are a little different but there seems to be a family resemblance when compared to the 1970s era crappy condominiums on the 800 block of 13th Street NE and the 1300 block of I Street NE.

Even though it's completely inappropriate considering the neighborhood, I can't help but think of the intro song to Weeds when I see these places (must be the colors).

I like them in a I'm glad I don't live there kind of way.

The intro to Weeds is from a poem that the great Pete Seger set to music and popularized. The full lyrics might be much more appropriate for upper Northwest? VA 'burbs?

Little Boxes
by Malvina Reynolds © 1963
Little boxes on the hill side, little boxes made of ticky-tacky.
Little boxes, little boxes, little boxes all the same.
There’s a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow one,
And they’re all made out of ticky-tacky, and they all look just the same.

And the people in the houses all go to the university
Where they all get put in boxes, little boxes, all the same.
And there’s doctors and there’s lawyers, and there’s business executives
And they’re all made out of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same.

And they all play on the golf course and drink their martini dry
And they all have pretty children and the children go to school
And the children go to summer camp and then to the university
Where they all get put in boxes and they all come out the same.

And the boys go into business and marry and raise a family
And they all get put in boxes, little boxes all the same.
There’s a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow one
And they’re all made out of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same.

These three do vaguely look to me like they might be made out of ticky-tacky. It's got to be the line about the colors.
