do they deliver? i live in georgetown and would love to experience their fries (which everyone says are so amazing), but i don't want to venture to that part of town. do they have a phone number? maybe i could call and give them an extra in$entive to come to a safer part of the city.

They don't deliver (and if they did, I sense that Georgetown would be a bit out of their area -would you really want cold fries?). You are free however to call them at 202-397-1416 & embarass yourself by asking for delivery to GT. Frankly, if you're too scared to come to our neighborhood (you could always take the courtesy shuttle or come during the day) you don't deserve any sweet potato fries. At this point I don't think you should hold your breath for any medals of honor either. If, however, you manage to work up the courage to visit our little neighborhood, I personally pledge not to mug/assault/murder you. I will rescind that pledge if I discover that you have ever willingly gone to The Angry Inch
& enjoyed it (if this is found to be the case, I will mug you).

Ahh, come on Georgetowner, you can come over for a visit. After all, the Georgetown Symphony Orchestra has changed it's name, and moved to the Atlas. The Capital City Symphony will be playing a block away from the Argonaut in the fall.

not-a-wanna-be-ghetto-head: you embody everything that is wrong with Georgetown. Although, if you ever work up the courage to come on over, let us know and we'll all come out of our houses, the coffee shop, bars, and restaurants and give you a round of applause.

$8 for eggs and you have to pay $3 extra for the bacon? This is what pisses me off about DC. They are already charging Georgetown prices! Is the goal of the H St revitalization merely to replace the fast food joints and check cashing places with the same overpriced yuppie crap you can get anywhere else?

Well Hello not-a-wanna-be-ghetto-head:

If G-town is so safe would you PLEASE ask your ANC(s) to rescind his/her request for 13 survellance cameras. We need them on H St and the surrounding areas. I promise you that it is then you may feel safer to come to our little yet friendly neighborhood to retrieve you some HOT Sweet Potato Fries. Yum!

Truly yours,

5th St.

Jodasm,
The McDonalds is still right down the street.
The eggs do come with some rightous flavorful homefries and toast. You really won't even need the bacon. Someone has to pay to keep the cook, and to keep the AC working.

I had brunch at argonaught today (sunday).

While I do not mind paying more than McDonald's for brunch, I do not believe I got close to my money's worth for brunch.

The Mount Gay omlette was fine, but at $9 I thought it would be something above a Denny's level omlette. Homefries weren't offensive, but not worth crossing town for.

The cheese grits really were bad. Served cold, they coagulated and took the form of my bowl. I did eat 1/3rd of it, but gave up.

I ended up putting the cheese-grit upside down on my empty omlette plate, like a jello mold. It was a ridiculous sight. The server took it away and must have seen it, but did not say anything.

The $5 mimosa was fine. You got what you paid for, nothing fancy.

My hood has no good brunch places either, so I was excited to get some home cookin'. Very disappointed.
