Current ANC Commissioner Anthony Rivera has (miraculously) been narrowly re-elected to office. He won with 205 votes (49.64% of the total votes, he very narrowly defeated challenger Alan Kimber). Commissioner Rivera currently faces a new trial (the last one ended in a hung jury) on multiple federal charges related to money laundering. Look for the new trial to start before too long (the Feds don't like to delay on this kind of thing). I think I smell a recount.

Rivera wins by 3 votes (205-202), and 6 idiots voted write-ins.
What a world.
Where is the link for the ANC results?

Sorry, I should have put that in the post.
The worst part was that Rivera's opponent actually seemed like a reasonable guy. He was sitting outside of the school where I went to vote. I talked to him for a couple of minutes before I voted.
I was pleased to see that Fengler was easily elected.
I'm seriously sick to my stomach.
I guess voters wanted a good reason to spend the next few years complaining.
Unbelievable....
In a democracy, ultimately, the people get the government they deserve.

BTW: am I the only one who had my ballot snatched out of my hand by an election worker who (I kid you not) ACTUALLY LOOKED IT OVER before placing it in the scanner...
First, thank you all for your support and good wishes.
They are still counting absentee and provisional votes. The official results are expected to be posted on November 21, so with it this close, I guess we will have to wait and see.
Best,
Alan
IF, and that's a BIG "IF", Rivera happens to be re-elected, I would consider requesting a recount.
Maybe he'll get thrown in jail during the process....
