Express: News From Northeast
The Washington Post's Express gave the area a little more attention today, giving a recap of developments in the area, as well as recent press coverage.
The author also prudently pitched the east-west X2 bus route as an easy transport alternative.
The bus runs every 12-15 minutes (more during rush hour) down the length of H Street and makes a very convenient stop at the Gallery Place / Chinatown Metrorail station entrance at 7th and H St NW. It costs $1.25 (0.85 cents if one transfers from the subway). All Metrobuses now accept Smartrip cards, which automatically tracks bus and rail transfers.

I keep meaning to a do a blog entry about it, but imo, the blog piece of the Express is really really good.
I really liked it too.

Do Maryland ride-on buses that pick up at the metro take the smart card?
