I'll post other results soon, but thanks for everyone who turned out in my SMD (precinct 77). Whether you voted for me, someone else, or even abstained (voting for a piece of paper is hard, and that's basically what it came down to in this election), thanks for turning out to vote. I'm both honored and flattered. I hope that we can all look forward to a very active and functional ANC 5B. I will host monthly SMD (Single Member District 5B08) meetings and be available via email, or cell phone (I'll be updating the DCBOEE shortly on my number). I look forward to working with existing ANC Commissioners and with the new ones taking office. We have the ability to, like ANC 6A (even if we take a different direction), move our community forward and become a real powerhouse ANC. I have high hopes, and will work to fulfill them. Thanks again, Elise.

Congrats. I'm bummed, though...just found out we live two houses on the other side of the border...in 5B07. Have to find out who won that one.

Where did you find the returns? I can't find the results on the Board of Elections website and am curious how the Kimber/Rivera race in 6C turned out.

Sorry, I must be dense. I still can't find out where you are getting the Kimber/Rivera results on the DCBOEE website. I clicked all the relevant links on the main page, but can't find it. Can you please post a fuller link?
On the left side, under BOEE NEWS the second item is "Pre-certified election results". Click on that and scroll down to 6c05 for Kimber 217 to Rivera 213.

Anyone know why if Kimber has apparently now won that he hasn't updated his website or acknowledged it publically on this website or the H St. DC website?
I would imagine that it takes time to update a website like Alan Kimber's (frozen tropics works off a very simple template) & the H Street DC website is no longer updated (in fact, it's gone since the domain name expired).
I think that Kimber is out of town w/family. I'm sure he'll update his site as soon as possible.
