  1. Interesting. This crime and another recent robbery on 2/14 @1:20pm support the comment at the recent PSA 504 meeting that thieves don't fear doing gun crimes in broad daylight. A third robbery on 2/12 @7pm was not during the day but not in the dead of night either.

  2. Wow, I hadn't heard about this. I was held-up ~3 weeks ago at gunpoint in an attempted carjacking (turned robbery) also in the 1400 block of Morse at 6:15pm. Any more details on the most recent carjacking? I couldn't attend the PSA 504 meeting Saturday, anyone have notes?

  3. That's pretty much what I've got on the carjacking. I went to the PSA meeting, but I don't feel that we got a whole lot accomplished. We talked about the recent violence in Carver Terrace & Langston & tried to figure out how to best handle it. We also discussed a few other well known trouble spots (1500 block of Queen & 16th Street, for example). The Guardian Angels are still in Carver Terrace. There is concern because it looks like 504 might be losing some officers & having some experienced officers transferred out at a time when Carver Terrace & Langston are experiencing some pretty big issues.
You may want to attend this meeting tonight:
