City Desk: Yuppie Applauds Single Beers
The City Paper's blog weighs in on H Street's proposed singles ban. Little does the author know that all he has to do (if he's on the eastern end of the corridor) is walk a block or two to Florida, or head straight up Bladensburg.

Ah, right dude...chance are this guy would not want 13+ places to buy a single if he lived on H Street. Easy to oppose the proposed ban in another part of town when you live in cushy Dupont Circle. City Paper is so desperate to fill the pages sometimes.
Maybe I'm just not approaching this commentary piece with the right sense of humor, but I felt compelled to post an actual response instead of the congratulatory junk that this overgrown frat boy's friends and supporters have posted so far.
I take offense with being called a NIMBY for supporting something that addresses a problem in my own neighborhood. Frankly, I'd just as soon address this problem in ALL backyards - not just my own. But for now, I'm going to act locally and work to directly respond to what's going on outside my door.
