i did a search for atlas district, but only came up with some crappy links.

Generally sites will automatically appear after they are located by a web search's crawler & indexed. But you can submit sites to Google (other search engines also let you do this) here.

Nice. I wonder if any establishment can be added (like, say, the Rib Tip).
Another thing about search engines is that they surmise how important a link is by how many others link to it so everybody get rid of links to the old URL and add links to this one :-)

The problem with the website is there's no searchable text on it. View the source code on the website and you'll see a bunch of tables and image code--not something that a search engine can read. As such, it's not going to be a big hit with search engines like Google--all it has is the page's title tag from which to grab keywords.

It's a pretty little design, but it's certainly not well-made from a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) perspective. :(

By the way, the breakfast at the Rib Tip is really good and the service has improved tremendously. Anyone know what happened to Birdland?

It shut down a while ago. I don't think it ever did much business.

Also, weren't they one of the businesses that was getting hammered by the fight last year over whether the CofO was improperly issued? Fighting that couldn't have been cheap for a business.

I went there and tried the food. It was good but nothing special.

To bad the map site was so much better and it had more links attached to it. You were also able to find it quickly doing a search.
