I think this is significantly better than the Beehive paint scheme. Quite the difference if you compare against the old, pre-Beehive look of the building. Wow.
It's about time an Asian restaurant (other than Chinese carry-out) will be opening up in the hood. We need more diversity in our inner-city and the ignorant need to know that there are other Asian groups out there, other than the people who work in the carry-outs and nail salons! Open your minds...
this neighborhood can barely be classified as "the hood" any more, every house around here sells for 300,000+.
lol @ you thinking restaurants = diversity outreach.
i'm happy we have a(nother) sit down restaurant (the only active one presently since phish tea and the ohio closed?).
maybe they can help popeyes next door clean up their act...i keep hearing accusations about popeyes' horrible hygeine/rodent problem. in an ideal world, they'd be able to buy the popeyes out and knock the dividing wall down. LOL.
Alan, were you born in the hood because if not I think it's time you learn that the cost of a house is not what classifies things. I would still be very careful about stumbling around drunk on side streets in this area if I were you. As the numbers go down the area gets nice but do not forget how far away you are from places like that housing complex where Benning Rd mets H St and the crazies on the X bus.

dude, there's already an indian place nearby - across from Schneider's.
AND, there's a sushi place a block from the White Tiger (staffed by Koreans, but .. whatever).
what i'd like for people to know is that there are all kinds of middle easterners.....
the asian thing is so old.
open up YOUR eyes.
