Anyone else hear the gunshots this morning around 5 am near 10th and I?
I did not see anything on the news this morning but there was a police cruiser blocking the street.
Sorry for hijacking this post, but I did not know where else to post this.

yup, gunshots were fired on the 800 block of 10th Street NE, in front of a house that has at least 2 previous shooting incidents. I do not think anyone was hurt. I know this because the police pulled the possible shooter from under my back porch at about 5:10 this morning. Luckily, my neighbor saw him run in my backyard. The cops were very cool and I didn't need a cup of coffee to drag myself out of bed this morning. I posting a request for more info on the 1D listserve and can update when I hear back.

From the 1D listserv"

I WOULD LIKE to inform citizens that yes this morning at approximately 0500 hours – shots were fired in front of the alleged after hours house that has been reported to us in the 800 blk of 10th sT NE—officers responded and chased several subjects into the 900 blk and found one subject hiding in bushes – he was brought to detectives office with another subject –

At the time – it appeared to be a destruction of property with the front of the house being hit by bullets when we got called that a subject was driven to the hospital that was shot in the leg – related to above – thus an ADW gun report was taken

At this time – the gun has not been recovered and no arrests made regarding the shooting – Det Duncan/Don Juan have case - one subject was wanted on warrant thus has been charged with this

Notification to the Nuisance Property Task Force – OAG has been made and to our Community Prosecutor as well
