so they're trying to clear bladensberg for developers to come in?
because a 'citywide' crackdown that just so happens to focus mainly on bladensberg sounds specious.
not like i care in the end b/c those auto lots are an eyesore and the space could be put to more productive use.
Those lots are in the business of making loans, not selling cars. Don't you think that it's a little odd that the same car lot has three business operating out of it?
Actually this was the second hit on these guys, remember when the city got a few of them for selling paper temp tags (some of them were even North Carolina tags)???
i am just a concerned citizen and i am just trying to be a good neighbor. how about lets try to put the blame on both the dcra and the used car lots// the dcra gave 5business licenses to the same lot and adress// dcra gave about 35 used salesman licenses to one address// so they will all park and occupy the whole block and park their overflow in the street

there are very few car dealers elsewhere in the city, if you actually travel through the rest of dc.
the few outside of NE are fairly legit.
it's called "enforcing the law".
no one said anything about developers coming in.
that statement just goes to show where your mindset is.
i'm kind of bummed, because there were some mad deals on dodgy cars, and some of those folks are a great place to unload stolen cars.
plus, they did lots of work on the sly.
legit dealers/mechanics don't do that.
so...
kind of a bummer, but hey.
that's life.
i think most folks knew it wouldn't last forever.
what shop do you own/work at?

check other dc blogs.
there are a bunch of dealerships that are extremely shady, and they are not all in NE.
they are next.
it's about time this city enforces some of its laws.
it's not all about bladensburg, it's just that it has the highest concentration of law breakers.
if you live in the area, you are obviously very aware of this fact.
