A 15-year-old was shot in the 1700 block of M Street in Northeast just before midnight on Tuesday. The victim suffered two gunshot wounds to the back. The incident is under investigation, No other updates are available at this time. i'm all about civil liberties, but something has to be done here.

Frankly, with all the continued gun violence...
How about police snipers on buildings in "hot spots" to take out the shooters as soon as they are spotted? Unfortunately, this would still allow the shooters to get off a shot or two, but at least it would take that one shooter out of circulation.
Separately, why no announcement of a reward for any of the shootings that take place in NE? When someone is shot in NW, it's big news, accompanied by a big reward. I guess we're really feelin' the love.
