NBC4: Man Catches Fire on H
NBC4 reports on an accident involving a mechanic at an autobody shop on H Street. The man is 62 years old and in critical condition with 2nd and 3rd degree burns to 70% of his body.
WTOP reports that the incident took place at 822 H Street.

This is horrible! Obviously, this man's health is of utmost concern, but it does point directly to the issue of Autozone's parking lot being used as a regulation-free work space, and the dangers involved. Autozone has benefited from looking the other way, but sometimes it takes tragedies like this to force companies to take responsibility of what happens on its premises.
The auto shop is on 9th behind Stan's Discount Clothing. The charred cars are still sitting out front. This shop should have been closed a long time ago. It is basically a one-car cinderblock garage with a lift. There are no fire-preventative safeties in place and no bathrooms (they like to piss in my alley across the street).
Hopefully this tragic incident will force them to close. I hope the gentleman gets better.

Wait...scratch that. I read the post too quickly and my hate of autozone clouded my brain!
Right, I'm not sure we're talking about Autozone here. There is an actual autobody shop around 9th & H.
