Ok, I haven't seen the Dupont Current article that CP references, but they've got something likely to fuel the fire between the camps on either side of the singles ban.
Or not, they've already got a comment accusing the Paper of misrepresenting the issue and leaving a copy of the ANC's ABL rules as supporting evidence.

fleeting thought: a single at whole foods, is pretty much the same price as a cheap six pack at any local liquor joint.....
I think this is a very bad precedent, and I would not be in favor of such a distinction in our area.
I'm not even sure this would survive a challenge on constitutional grounds--government (including ANCs) cannot treat two establishments differently in something like this.
Plus, you are either prohibiting singles or you are not. This smacks of blatent classism at the least, and just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don't think it is the government's place to say that "these type of people can have singles (or anything else), but those people can't because we don't like them."
