just a quick reminder about the fundraiser Saturday night at the Pug. we're helping raise travel funds for the Ardoyne Boxing Club lads to come over and fight a club in D.C. we're recommending a $25.00 donation which will get you free Heinekin, wine, vodka, Bare Knuckle Stout, and probably, shots of Irish whiskey. If 25 is too steep we're also donating all the sales for the weekend off of the Pug's new draft system. Hope to see you. Enjoy the holiday. Remember the vets.

The Ardoyne Boxing Club is from the inner city working class Ardoyne neighborhood of Belfast. The Pug is planning to start doing the fundraising thing more often (maybe once a month). You may have also noticed that they now have beer on draft, but I'm not sure what beer/beers they've got on that system. Remember that they also have inexpensive tasty paninis and hot dogs (and of course, cheesy puffs)! The Pug is located at 1234 H Street.

Off topic but....I heard from the owners of City Pizza, on the 500 block of H street NE, that they plan to reopen next month.
I think they'd do well. Their pizza was pretty good.
