NAPA Extends Happy Hour to 8pm

NAPA has extended its Happy Hour on Tuesdays-Fridays t0 8pm, meaning the Happy Hour now runs from 5-8pm instead of 5-7pm. They are also holding regular wine tastings from 5-7pm on Wednesdays.
Here's how the bartender Scott describes the Happy Hour tapas deal:

For happy hour we have $10 dollar pairings of a happy hour tapas plate (such as shrimp, feta, artichokes and tomato pizza) and a drink (such as a house glasses of wine, beer, margaritas, martinis and mojitos)!

Apologies for hijacking, but does anyone know what was going on Saturday night around 9 PM on 12th St. between F and G? There were tons of cops and a helicopter flying low looking for something or someone.

Someone mentioned on the 6A list that a suspect was apprehended around that time at 13th and G. He was wanted for several armed robberies. Check the 1D listserv for more info.

As posted by Commander David Kamperin on First District listserv (you can subscribe here:

There was an arrest for an armed robbery suspect after a brief foot pursuit-subject admitted to 3 arrests in the area and is being looked at for other similar robberies.

Napa is a great little restaurant that is willing to work for your patronage. Example, someone posted here not long asking that the happy hours be extended so that people have more time to get out of work and into the neighborhood.

I've been 3 times and George and Scott always leave you with the impression that they WANT you to come back. Slammin country pate too.

Just went to Napa for the first time this weekend. We ordered the crabcakes and the burger. The crab cakes were good but $28. The burger was real bad for $14. I don't mind paying $14 for a burger but it better be good.

Great Staff and nice environment.

The tapas taste awesome, and they gave us a very generous portion. I think its a very good deal.

Napa, thanks! I've been saying for more than two years that it would be really great to have a happy hour that went until 8, since a lot of potential customers who live in the area probably don't get home from work until 7:00.

I'm pretty excited that you guys are actually doing it. I think I'll come by tonight.

My partner and I went to NAPA for dinner Friday and it was very good! We were not sure at first if it was open, but once inside the service and food were great, as well as a very good bottle of wine. Keep it up guys!

My husband and I ordered the burgers a couple weeks ago and they were amazing! The potato wedges on the side were just okay, but the burgers were worth $14 in my opinion. We also got another appetizer(can't remember what right now) but it was like bruschetta with something else on top and it was delicious too. We have a little guy at home so my husband picked up the food and brought it home. Next time we'll try dining in. Everyone should check it out, I'm happy to have a real fine dining restaurant on H Street. My only request would be that they add a section to their website for the restaurant menu (right now it's only for catering).
