This is a really funny well produced play. The actors are very good, nice set, live music... a great intro duction to Gilbert and Sullivan.
Go see this show! Even if you have seen Pirates before, this one is special. I went opening night expecting to see the same tired show but I was blown-away by this production. Great attention is given to every element of the show. The singing and acting are top-notch. The orchestra plays the score without fault. The dancing is awesome(among the best choreography and musical staging I have ever seen in DC). The costumes, set, and props are all magnificent. It was also refreshing to see a top-notch professional production that used local talent. No fancy NY equity players here, just the best professionals DC has to offer. If you do the $10 great - but its a bargain even at full price.
