For all you bargain hunters out there, I thought I'd point out the great deals at Pap n Petey's.
They had $3 Corona last night, some wine deals and cocktails too. I wish I could remember the exact drinks but everything was under $5. They also had the NCAA tourney on their TVs.
It was disappointing to see such a small turnout for March Madness. This is a great little neighborhood place and I'd encourage the east enders to venture down and try it out. The owner, Duke, is an incredibly nice guy and very willing to listen to feedback from the community as the place gets going.
I hope they can hang in there until the new condos and apartments at Senate Square and Landmark Lofts are full. Until then, they could really use the community's support.
We don't want this great new place to fail.
(For the cynics, I am in no way affiliated with the establishment).
I've also encountered $2 MGD during their happy hour.
Regular beer prices are amazingly reasonable, too--like $6 for Chimay and other super-premiums, $3.50 for most (all?) domestics. Regular prices. Mmmmm...beer...
Try finding Chimay anywhere else in the city for less than $9-10...good luck. I sat next to a guy who was flabbergasted, having just paid $11 in China Town.
Real deal for a mellow neighborhood place.
I second wholeheartedly the two previous posts. P&P's is a great bargain with an owner (Duke) who is very receptive to patron input. Cheers to Duke's success. Please show your neighborhood patronage. And yes, this an unsolicited testimonial from a loyal customer who wants to see this place succeed.
