Pap and Petey's Specials Tonight

I'm told Pap and Petey's is running an election night special tonight. They will be serving Blue State Blue Hawaiis or Raspberry Red State Margaritas for 5 dollars a pop. So stop by and check out H Street's newest attraction. Pap and Petey's is located at 421 H Street. They open at 5pm 7 days a week.

The husband and I stopped in last night-- the staff was super nice, the atmosphere comfortable and the decor very nice. We're very anxious for the live music to begin! Yay!

waaahhh!
nothing for the independents?

howsabout $2 vodka and sodas?

oh yeah, and what about that green party? do they sell absinthe (which is now finally legal!)

I think Melon Balls would be appropriate for Greens--fruit of the earth and such.

For Independents, choice of Kamakazis or Flaming Dr. Peppers--if you can't make up your mind, might as well get bombed out of it...

They have 2 flatscreens that will have the election results on from one of the stations.

Last thing the Pooster needs is absinthe. The usual Mad Dog 20/20 or Bud Ice seems to inspire plenty of creativity and hostility.

We stopped in the other night- staff and owner, Duke, were super friendly! we had a great time!

true, absinthe only makes the heart grow fonder.

that's the last thing i need around these parts.

but i'm out of mad dog.

do you think they still sell it in the shops that don't sell singles anymore?

after all, mad dog isn't a single....

i'll have to crawl over to one of those joints tonight and check it out, after i watch hillary lose texas.

Was there for the very "soft" opening on Saturday night and stopped in again last night after work. The place is quite nice inside-very nicely done on the remodel and the owner, Duke, is extremely nice. I trust this place is going to do quite well. It's very eye-catching from the street at night when the shades are up and there's people milling about inside. Best of luck! I know I will be supporting.

This is very exciting news for our end of H St. I am planning to check it out this weekend. By the way, does anyone know why it is named Pap and Petey's?

Funny you ask about the name--the site has been updated to explain the origin.

Also, the live music is apparently getting started tonight & Friday:
