With the continued expansion of nightlife options along that stretch of H Street, you would think that later hours on Friday and Saturdays would make sense.
Cheesesteaks and funnel cakes make GREAT drunk food, and with the kitchen closing before midnight at Granville Moore's there really aren't a lot of options for late night food in the area.
Speaking of late night food, have you mentioned the new deli/market on the 1300 block of H (South side, just east of RnR), Inked? Went in and spoke to the owners - he said that they'll be serving burgers and sandwiches until 4AM on the weekends, though that seems almost astonishingly late for DC.
I think a Ethopian Rest is coming to 1400 blk of H soon. but for now I just had one of the Philly CHICKEN Cheesesteak and it was........ UM UM good. She also now serves Philly strips (chk fingers). The owner said she would stay open late as soon as it gets a little warmer like she did last year until 3am on weekends. She also showed me the upstairs kids boutique and it is awesome!

Maybe these are just the 'early spring' hours. I know last year they were open until 3am Friday and Saturday nights.
I love this place, and will be there as much as possible this summer :)
