as a concerned citizen, my light has been on constantly since the beginning of '05.

when i'm out of the house, i leave lights on. when i'm travelling, i have a timer that turns lights on at different times of the day/night. it's a very small price to pay.

wouldn't it be cool to give some financial incentive to keep the lights on for those that are worried about their electrical bill?

maybe we could all contribute to a central fund, and buy 'eco-electric-bulbs' for whole blocks.

you get big discounts when you buy in bulk. you know, economies of scale and that sort of thing...
